Kousuke Oono's ongoing The Way of the Househusband manga series first appeared in Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch magazine in 2018 and so far, it has produced 10 volumes worth of content. The story focuses on Tatsu, a retired but still feared yakuza boss known as the Immortal Dragon, and his career-driven wife, Miku. The episodic series follows the titular househusband as he takes care of his beloved wife — cooking delicious food and completing chores with fearsome intensity — while handling frequent run-ins with his former associates and rivals. The manga has won multiple prestigious awards, including Best Overall Series and Best Comedy Series from Pixiv Comic Ranking in 2018, Runner-Up for Best Web Manga Series at the Next Manga Awards in 2018 and Best Humor Publication at the Eisner Awards in 2020.
The announcement of The Way of the Househusband: The Gangster’s Guide to Housekeeping's release isn't the only exciting news for the iconic comedy series recently. Most notably, Netflix revealed the second season of the anime adaptation on Twitter. The post confirmed a January 2023 premiere window and featured the tagline "Tatsu is back!"

Code Black) as Miku, Atsuko Tanaka (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) as Hibari Torii and Kazuyuki Okitsu (My Stepmom's Daughter Is My Ex) as Masa.
