The Voice Kids 2019: Emma Willis breaks down and sobs after one emotional performance – Express

Emma Willis welcomed a host of young contestants to the stage on tonight’s instalment of The Voice Kids 2019, but there was one performance that caused everyone to well up. 
Singing an original song, Sam wowed coaches, Jessie J, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones with his rendition. 
Ahead of his performance it was revealed his mum had died only 15 months ago of Leukaemia and host Emma broke down in tears as she praised the 13-year-old’s voice. 
Impressed, remarked: “I wouldn’t think a 13-year-old would be able to pull the emotion down and express it like that, it takes a very experienced soul.”

Sam had first sung a rendition of Like A Rolling Stone by Bob Dylan but after Danny and Pixie had turned their chairs, the 13-year-old revealed he writes his own song. 
Danny offered the boy his guitar and the coaches joined him on stage as he sang his emotional original song leading to them breaking down in tears alongside host Emma. 
His father revealed before his audition that Sam’s music helped the family through their difficult time and the talented singer performed at his mother’s funeral. 
Complimenting the singer, Emma remarked: “Your own song was incredible,” and Jessie added: “It’s just in his bones, and that’s whats amazing.” 
Viewers watching at home shared Emma’s reaction and were quick to praise the 13-year-old.

A fourth exclaimed: “I’M IN TEARS!! His mum would be so so proud #thevoicekids.” 
“Watching #TheVoiceKids on delay, if I wasn’t already an emotional mess today then I certainly am now after hearing Sam sing his original song,” a fan said. 
“Sam blew me away, his mum would be so proud of him, life can be so cruel, he is so talented #TheVoiceKids,” a sixth remarked. THE VOICE KIDSMeanwhile, Emma has hinted at a victory for one amazing duo on the show. 
During an appearance on This Morning, she appeared to suggest youngsters Alfie and Ave could walk away champions. 
“There is an amazing couple, couple of kids, not a couple because they’re very young.” 
“I think they’re nine and ten and they’re best friends. Boy and a girl and it was like watching you two on stage,” the presenter confessed. 
Despite not declaring the pair winners, her complimentary description of the pair could mean this duo will take the crown.
