Rumor: Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 On The Way? – App Trigger

Spread the love

Every year, Call of Duty releases a new game to the masses and receives one (or all) of three things: massive hate, moderate love, and a boat load of popularity.
On March 1, Activision confirmed a new Call of Duty game in the works for E3 2016. Well, now that we have the confirmation, the speculation has begun, and the Call of Duty faithful is predicting a Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 in the works.
To add a little more fuel to the rumor, Games TM, a U.K. magazine listed Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 on its “2016 Most Wanted Game’s List.” Also, the magazine predicted a November release date along with it.
Now begs the question, do we really want a Call of Duty: Ghosts 2?
Upon release, Call of Duty: Ghosts was greeted with a lot of criticism and backlash. Despite an action-packed, engaging, Call of Duty-like single player mode (that players usually blow off for multiplayer), the online side of things was greeted with problems: big complex maps (campers galore), a poor hit detection system, and a killstreak-catered game style led to a lot of angry comments on forum sites, oh and broken controllers, too. And, despite the complaints, personally, I think Infinity Ward deserves a second chance at fixing things. Out of all the game developers out there, Activision delivers year after year with a high-quality bang-for-your-buck shooter.
If not a Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 then I would love for Call of Duty to return back to its roots. We have a new World War II shooter on the way in Battalion, but Activision can steal their thunder, like how it did with Titanfall 1.5 AKA Black Ops 3.
If a Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 is on the way, I say bring it on. We know for certain that Activision can redeem itself or generate a ton of sales, regardless.
