EXETER – An Exeter Excessive College graduate is about to audition before some of pop music’s biggest names on the hit NBC singing contest show “The Voice.”
Parker McKay, a member of the EHS Class of 2009, identified then as Taylor Lintelman, may have her “blind” audition earlier than celeb music coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Ariana Grande.
Her audition present will air Monday or Tuesday, Sept. 20 or 21, starting at 8 p.m., or when the present resumes the next week on the identical nights, the present’s publicists confirmed.
McKay, a rustic singer now dwelling in Nashville, Tennessee, posted on social media about being chosen to the competition final month.
“So extremely fortunate to have so many supportive, heat, loving cheerleaders,” she wrote. “You haven’t any concept what you’re in for, these individuals are unbelievable and I’m so proud to be part of this magnificent Season 21 (of the show) family.”

McKay was not allowed to offer interviews previous to her audition airing when reached for remark.

At EHS, McKay was a member of the honors choir.

McKay attended faculty on the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York Metropolis. After pursuing the New York nation music scene for 2 years after commencement, she caught the eye of a reserving agent. She has opened for acts like Rascal Flatts, Sheryl Crow and The Band Perry.
McKay moved to Nashville in 2014. Since then, she has been named to Nation Music Tv’s Artist Discovery Program.
