LEGO News, Reviews and Builds
LEGO MASTERS USA Season 3 finally gets underway tonight, as 12 new teams of builders face off for the ultimate LEGO prize.
That once again consists of a brick-built trophy and (perhaps more enticingly) a $100,000 cash prize, which will go to the team that best proves their building chops over the next few weeks. Voice of LEGO Batman Will Arnett returns to host the competitive brick-building show’s third season, with LEGO designers Amy Corbett and Jamie Berard back on judging duties.
The show was originally supposed to hit screens in May, but a last-minute delay by FOX saw it pushed back to September. That was bad news for the show’s Jurassic World episode, which was originally intended to air alongside the arrival of Jurassic World: Dominion in theatres. It all worked out in the end, though, as FOX just… aired it anyway.
You’ll presumably be able to catch the ep again – which featured a guest appearance from Chris Pratt – as part of the regular running order of LEGO MASTERS USA Season 3 in the weeks to come. The first full episode will premiere on FOX at 9pm ET / PT tonight, September 21.
A promo clip featuring executive producer Brad Pitt has already set the stage for what’s to come in the third season, including more celebrity guests, increasingly crazy build challenges, and plenty of drama. There’ll also be a NASA-themed episode, a LEGO dog show and some kind of tree house build, in what Arnett promises will be ‘the most challenging LEGO MASTERS season yet’.
You’ll be able to get your LEGO MASTERS fix right through to Christmas, too, as LEGO MASTERS: Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular is scheduled to air later this year. The seasonal spin-off will pair previous LEGO MASTERS USA contestants with celebrity guests for – you guessed it – more building.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
