Sir Tom Jones rose to fame in the 1960s and he has shown no signs of wanting to hang up his hat just yet. The 82-year-old icon recently returned to ITV to be a judge on this year’s series of The Voice and many fans have been commenting on his youthful appearance. Sir Tom has revealed he has “tried to look after himself” and feels “lucky” he is healthy.

The Welsh singer is working alongside Olly Murs, Anne Marie and Will.i.am on an all-new series of The Voice.
Sir Tom left his fellow judges teary-eyed when the show returned to ITV earlier this month when he belted out I Won’t Crumble With You If You Fall during the first show of the series.
ITV viewers praised Sir Tom’s “incredible” voice as he sang a segment of the ballad as a tribute to his late wife Melinda Trenchard who he first met when he was 12 years old.
Ahead of the series airing, Sir Tom addressed his health and voice with ITV, saying: “I’m lucky I’m in good health, I’ve got nothing wrong with me.

He continued: “You need to do certain things that the body and the mind need to survive and I think the better care you take of yourself, the longer you’ll live but there’s going to be a certain amount of luck involved as well because some people do everything right and they still get some terrible disease or something that they can’t control so I’ve been lucky.”
“My voice is still in great shape, everything is ticking away nicely,” he concluded.

Sir Tom explained the caveman diet he is on is a meal plan which consists of “getting back to what we used to eat when we were hunters and gatherers and eating anything that’s natural – meat, fish, veg”.
He also said he exercises regularly, often with a personal trainer, and likes boxing for a “good cardiovascular workout”.
