On Sunday, September 25, 2022, a fatal motorcycle collision occurred on Escalon-Bellota Road and Dove Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash took place shortly before 2:00 p.m. and involved a Lexus and an off-road motorcycle, officials said.
A 19-year-old Escalon man was riding the motorcycle west on Dove Road and stopped at the posted stop sign at the intersection, CHP traffic officers reported. For unknown reasons, the motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a Lexus that was headed southbound on Escalon-Bellota Road.
The impact of the collision allegedly propelled the biker off the motorcycle. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries at the collision site. A GoFundMe page has been set up on behalf of the Castillo family to assist with final resting costs. The Lexus driver, a 64-year-old man from Alamo, was uninjured, authorities said.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released. Those with information on the fatal motorcycle collision are encouraged to reach out to the CHP Stockton area office at (209) 938-4800.
