Call of Duty has collaborated with numerous rappers in the past. For instance, Warzone Season 3 featured a live-action trailer with Swae Lee, Saweetie, Jack Harlow, Young Thug, and Gunna. The battle royale title also collaborated with Snoop Dogg, who got his own operator skin in-game.
Activision also revealed its upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 titles. Modern Warfare 2 is set to feature a brand-new third-person mode, which will be available only in Hardpoint during its beta phase. However, developers have mentioned adding it to Warzone as well as other game modes.
That being said, Call of Duty's future on PlayStation looks a little foggy. Microsoft’s decision to buy Activision for $70 billion is the reason behind this, leading fans to fear that the franchise would become an Xbox and PC exclusive. Microsoft put forward a deal to extend Call of Duty and PlayStation's relationship beyond the current contract, but SIE's Jim Ryan said the offer was inadequate. Owing to this, it isn’t surprising that Sony is supporting the CMA’s second round of investigation into the proposed acquisition by Microsoft.
