6 injured when driver runs them over in Chicago's Schiller Woods Forest Preserve – FOX 32 Chicago

Six people were injured on Sunday when an elderly driver ran them over at Chicago's Schiller Woods Forest Preserve on the Northwest Side.
A Forest Preserves official told FOX 32 Chicago that at 6:49 p.m., Forest Preserves Police responded to an incident in which an 89-year-old driver struck several individuals with her vehicle.

The driver and six victims were all rushed to hospitals, with one person in intensive care, a spokesperson with the forest preserve said.
The woman was parked in the grass near a picnic grove, with her driver’s side door open, when the vehicle began moving in reverse, the spokesperson said.
The crash will be investigated as a motor vehicle accident, the spokesperson said.
Forest Preserves police were leading the investigation with the assistance of the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.
